Margie Annette Stanley Moore, 81, of Quincy, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born at Darwin, Virginia, on May 13, 1941, a daughter the late Creed and Samantha Ernie Dotson Stanley.
Margie was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed housekeeping, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin Moore of South Shore and Craig (Nelina) Moore of Columbus, Ohio, and five sisters, Lucille Hale of Clintwood, Virginia, Clara Kamer of Garrison, Norma Lewis of Vanceburg, Buna Horsley of Garrison, and Thelma Lawson of Richmond. A host of other family members and friends also survive who will sadly mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bobby Stewart Moore; one son, Barry Moore; and three brothers, Omar Stanley, Eugene Stanley, and Avery Stanley.
Services will be at Noon Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Brad Howerton officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
