A layer of ice coats this bush near the Vanceburg Depot Museum early Wednesday. Several power outages and downed trees were reported as a result of the overnight deposit in the midst of a winter storm. The Cabin Creek Covered Bridge is slated for repairs and refurbishing. Emergency funding has been allocated to place a structure inside the bridge to hold it in place until repairs are made. This photo was snapped just seconds after UK players Michael Porter and Ramon Harris collided during a game against Lamar at Rupp Arena in Lexington. Porter received 10 stitches above his left eye and Harris has symptoms of muscular pain in his back and neck. The owner of this property in Vanceburg, Jeff Pilger, has posted a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed a deer here early November 30, 2008. The property is just off Ky. Rt. 59 at the foot of Vanceburg Hill. Anyone with information should call Officer Steve justice at 606-796-9794.
