The Lewis County Marching Band of Pride directed by Matt Voiles and field commander Sarah Thornsberry accomplished the goal of making Regionals with an above required score at the Russell marching band competition on October 7. This year the band is performing "The Blues Brothers -- We're on a Mission from God". The competition will take place on October 28 in Shelbyville. Being able to obtain this feat has taken many hours of practice and dedication for each of the members. The band and color guard include Cassandra Streator on the flute; Cheyenne McGraw on the clarinet; Caleb Enix and Sarah Thornsberry on the sax; Cory Owens and Casey Clark on the Trumpet; Patrick Mason on the Baritone; Alex McGlone on the trombone; Bill Henderson on the tuba; Brock O’Cull, Dustin
Caseman, Michael Collier, Jonathan Poitz and Kyndal Bayless with the percussion; Kennetha Stout, Alicia Riley Chelsey Riley, Cortney Dunaway, Amanda Medley, Amara Dixon, Melissa Tackett and Melinda Tackett are the color guard.
