Betty Lou Thurman Clark, 90, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday evening, August 1, 2019, at the home of her daughter in Maysville.
She was born May 6, 1929, in Sciotoville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Luther and Frances Marcella Williams Thurman.
Betty was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church and had worked for US Shoe.
She enjoyed going to church, gardening, working in her flowers, sewing and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by two sons, Jimmy Clark (Jeanie) of Anderson, Indiana, and Danny Clark (Linda) of New Albany, Indiana; two daughters, Emma King (Eddie) of Pekin, Indiana, and Carolyn Collins (Bud) of Maysville; two sisters, Helen Royster of Garrison, and Patricia Thurman of Christiansburg, Virginia; 29 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Eugene Clark; one daughter, Alice Faye Clark; two brothers, Harlan Thurman and James Thurman; and one sister, Mary Carpenter.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Phillip Hesler and Bro. Chris King officiating. Burial will follow in Esham Cemetery on Oak Ridge.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019, and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
