Francis Charlene Spencer, 70, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, at her residence. She was the widow of Ronnie Spencer.
Born in Fleming County on March 12, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Buford Hester and the late Nora Stidham Hester.
Charlene worked at U. S. Shoe in Flemingsburg and as a bus monitor for Fleming County Board of Education. She attended Light of Grace Church.
Charlene is survived by three daughters, Dana (Rod) Case, Krista (Jonathan) Whitt, and Holly Spencer; two grandchildren, Cara Spencer and Rylee Whitt. She is also survived by five of her siblings, Wanda James, Erma Christine McGlone, Lucille (Ray) Hitch, Betty Spencer, and Connie Heil; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her husband of 37 years and her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by two of her siblings, Kenneth Wayne Hester and Gary Hester.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Redmon and Bro. Charlie Hamm officiating.
Charlene will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ashley McGlone, Kevin McGlone, Chris Spencer, Brian Spencer, Todd Conley, and Brad McGlone. Honorary pallbearer will be Mickey Conley.
