Joseph Fannin Jr.

Joseph Preston Fannin Jr., 84, of Garrison, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

He was born July 13, 1939, at Munfordville, a son of the late Joseph and Dorthea Kerr Fannin.

Joseph enjoyed working puzzles, building model ships, watching Lewis County sports, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Clark of Quincy; four sons, Joseph Fannin III of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, John Fannin of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Matt (Angie) Yates and James (Jackie) Fannin of Vanceburg; four sisters, Sue Davis of St. Petersburg, Florida, Holly Fannin of Garrison, Tracy (Tony) of Porstmouth, Ohio, and Missy Woloschek of Wheelersburg, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Roger Hickle of Garrison; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Georgene Hickle Fannin, and a daughter, Crystal Fannin.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Tim Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.

Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison.
