Dennis James Thomas, 55, of Craycraft Road at Tollesboro, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020, unexpectedly at his home.
He was born August 16, 1964, in Fleming County, a son of the late James William Thomas and Eva Ruark Thomas Carver.
Dennis was a farmer and truck driver. He enjoyed farming, driving trucks, watching all sports, collecting tractors, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandson, Case.
Dennis is survived by one son, Brandon Thomas of Rectorville; one daughter, Shelbi Thomas of Tollesboro; one grandson, Case James Carver; one sister, Cathy Mason (Darrel Fannin) of Tollesboro; one nephew, Dylan Mason (Shanna); and a great-nephew and great-niece, Knox Mason and Mylah Mason. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Bro. Phil Cropper officiating. Interment will follow in Stout Cemetery at Burtonville.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2020, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro.
Pallbearers will be David Tully, Steve Breeze, Daniel Thomas, Dylan Mason, Roger Morgan, Terrell McCall, Lee Thomas, and Nic Thomas. Terry Thomas, Darrel Fannin, Gary Thomas, Billy Bolar, Charlie Kendall and Adam Bradford will serve as honorary pallbearers.
