Lula Bell Cogan Corns, 80, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.
She was born March 3, 1940, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Archie and Gladys Gladstone Spriggs Cogan.
Lula was of the Christian faith and was a caregiver. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Lula is survived by her husband of 37 years, Herman Corns; two sons, Mark (Tara) Ginn and Gary (Amy) Corns, of Tollesboro; two daughters, Diane (Mitchell) Ruark of Tollesboro, and Valerie Kay (Phillip) Fizer of Vanceburg; seven grandchildren, David (Carol) Ginn, Jana (Bobby) Doyle, Melanie (Nick) Groves, Brad (Kendra) Hilterbrandt, Derick Ruark, Travis (Kayla) Ginn, and Allison Corns; eight great-grandchildren, Michelle Proctor, Dylan Hollar, Kalie Powell, Jordan Doyle, David “Boog” Ginn, Jordan Groves, Payton Ruark, and Bradyn Hilterbrandt; five great-great-grandchildren, Chrisleigh, Kinleigh, Kane, Jace, and Waylon; and a brother-in-law, Roy Henderson of Vanceburg. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Cogan and Eddie Cogan, and three sisters, Freda Cooper, Lillian Fetters and Nellie Henderson.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Tollesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Byard officiating. Burial will follow in McClurg Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Tollesboro Funeral Home, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro.
Pallbearers will be Travis Ginn, Derick Ruark, Gary Corns, David Ginn, Jordan Doyle, and David “Boog” Ginn. Brad Hilterbrandt and Mitchell Ruark will serve as honorary pallbearers.
