Nancy Lee Esham Applegate, 84, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at her home.
She was born November 7, 1936, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Everett and Lola Rouse Esham.
Nancy was a member of Vanceburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed going to church, reading, playing piano, her dogs, and spending time with her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Douglas E. Applegate; three sons, Mike Applegate (Kathy) and Steve Applegate (Deana) of Vanceburg, and Kendall Applegate of South Shore; one daughter, Holly Ann Erwin (Tracy) of Morehead; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Marvin Esham, Howard Esham, Harold Esham, and Jack V. Esham.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Bob Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Pallbearers will be Mike Applegate, Steve Applegate, Kendall Applegate, Mikie Applegate, Marshall Applegate, and Scott Lewis.
