Glenn E. Flinders, 75, of Pickerington, Ohio, formerly of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born July 20, 1945, in Lewis County, a son of the late Elmo Flinders and Myrtle Esham Liles.
Glenn proudly served our country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne. He was of the Baptist faith and attended World Harvest Bible College. Glenn enjoyed reading, fishing, traveling, playing with his grandchildren, and spending time with his family.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Toller Flinders; one son, Christopher Flinders (Angie) of Pickerington, Ohio; one brother, Douglas Hardy (Collene) of Shalimar, Florida; one sister, Patty Toller (Buck) of Vanceburg; two grandchildren, Lucas Flinders and Elena Flinders; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, James Hardy, Bruce Hardy, Leon Hardy and Jack Hardy, and one sister, Joyce Roe.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro.Jim Bob Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
