Pa Morgan

Calin Argene “Pa” Morgan, 85 of Garrison, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Leslie County on December 5, 1936, a son of the late Dan and Cora Bailey Morgan.

Pa enjoyed fishing, gardening, family dinners, and spending time with his family and friends.

Pa is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Nancy Farler Morgan; six sons, Bill (Jackie) Morgan of Campton, Joe Morgan of Quincy, JD (Shelley) Morgan of Vancebug, Mike (Gloria Lynn) Morgan of Stout, Ohio, and Tim (Pam) Morgan and David Morgan of Vanceburg; three daughters, Melissa (Sam Fetters) Foreman of Maysville, Katrina (Jamie Dyer) Clark of Vanceburg and Stacy (Brad) Stone of Garrison; 22 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. A host of other family members and friends also survive who will sadly mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Morgan; a daughter, Patricia Jean Morgan; one grandchild, Kyle Gullett; one great-grandchild, Kaise Edward Foreman; three brothers, Clellon, Aster and Clillion; and five sisters Bernice, Dora, Ernie, Daphne and Ruth.

Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Brad Stone officiating. Friends may visit after 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Singleton Cemetery in Hyden.

Pallbearers will be Bill Morgan, Joe Morgan, JD Morgan, Mike Morgan, Tim Morgan, and David Morgan.
