Tony B. McGinnis, 56, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at Garrison as the result of injuries sustained in an auto related accident.
Tony was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, October 26, 1966, a son of the late William “Bob” and Phyllis Blair McGinnis. He worked in construction all of his life and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Sierra Osborne of Tennessee and Emily McGinnis of Ohio; two sons, Gage McGinnis of Garrison and William McGinnis of Johnson City, Tennessee; three brothers, Clifford (Jennifer) McGinnis and George (Ava) McGinnis of Vanceburg, and Chuck McGinnis of Maysville; and two sisters, Florence Lawson of Ironton, Ohio, and Leona Williams of Canton, Illinois.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Cornett, Peggy DeBoard, Jennie Pearl Workman, and Phoebe Ann Workman, and five brothers, William McGinnis, Robert Workman, John Amon Workman, Robert McGinnis, and Rex “Butch” Workman.
At the family’s request there will be no visitation or service at this time.
A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
