Linkous “Steve” Stillwell, 94, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the home of his daughter.
He was born in Pike County on September 29, 1928, a son of the late David and Cloie Mullins Stillwell.
Linkous proudly served his country in the US Army. He attended Bivens Chapel Church at Garrison and enjoyed watching westerns, football, walking, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include four sons, Dennis Stillwell of West Virginia, Robert Hawkins of Port Orange, Florida, Curtis Stillwell of Mt. Olivet, and David Stillwell of Vanceburg; two daughters, Cloie Robbins of Greenwich, Ohio, and Janet James of Olive Hill; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Lambert Stillwell; one brother; and three sisters.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60 at Olive Hill, with Sister Jeannie Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Richardson Cemetery in Carter County.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Globe Funeral Chapel at Olive Hill.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
