Noble Monteith

Noble William Monteith, 70, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester.

He was born in Lewis County on July 5, 1952, a son of the late Carl and Beulah Scott Monteith.

Noble was a member of Petersville Church of God. He enjoyed camping, boating, riding his golf cart, and loved life in general.

Survivors include his loving wife of three years, Lisa Denton Huber Monteith; three sons, Noble Monteith Jr. of Maysville, Lindsay Huber of Lexington, and Wesley Huber of Morehead; one daughter, Lisa (Kelly) Applegate of Maysville; two brothers, Earl Monteith of Vanceburg and Mike Monteith of Crooksville, Ohio; seven sisters, Dorothy (Dean) Carver and Kathy (Mike) Nolen of Vanceburg, Donna Bennett, Sharon (Randy) Creech, and Mabel (Lovell) Nolen of Tollesboro, Peggy (Tracy) Vaughn of Greenville, South Carolina, and Arta Louise (Joe) Parker of Beavercreek, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Many other family and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

Services will be at Noon Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Petersville Church of God with Bro. Milt Stanfield officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery on Cabin Creek.

Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Petersville Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Monteith, Kelly Applegate, Noble Monteith Jr., Kelly Denton, Mike Monteith, and Earl Monteith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Tuley and Austin Tumlin.

Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services will be caring for all arrangements.
