Johnnie Joe McCann, 69, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at his home.
He was born November 10, 1953, in Lewis County, a son of the late Jodie and Grace McCall McCann.
He enjoyed farming, loafing at Henderson’s Gas Station, taking care of his cattle, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include one son, Casey (Samantha) McCann of Tollesboro; one daughter, Stephanie (Matthew) Story of Vanceburg; one sister, Connie Sue Himes of Tollesboro; four grandchildren, Zachary Howard, Landon Story, Andrew Story, and Gracie McCann; and a great-granddaughter, Stormi Blankenship. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Audrey Baker McCann; two brothers, Joe McCann and Doug McCann; and two sisters, Georgia Walker and Thelma Padgett.
Services will be at Noon Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 Kentucky 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. John Byard officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County.
Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Pallbearers will be Matt Story, Zachary Howard, Andrew Story, Joey McCann, Tim McCann, and Mitch Goodwin.
