Truman “Fiz” Farris, 87, of Quincy, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at King’s Daughter Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born at Siloam on April 22, 1936, a son of the late William and Mary Lewis Farris.
Left behind to cherish his memory are a son, Steven Farris of Quincy; one granddaughter, Heather (Jon) Star of Danville; and three great-grandchildren, Jane, Jon and Joe. Several other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Ann Carver Farris; one sister, Dory Cooper; and three brothers, Bill Farris, Eugene Farris, and Prunny Farris.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with David Robirds officiating.
Burial will follow in Davis-Carver Cemetery at Quincy.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, November 24, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after Noon on Saturday at Roberson Funeral Home.
