Meredith A. Willis, 65, of Vanceburg, passed away at her home Friday August 26, 2016, after an extended illness.
Meredith was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, July 12, 1951, to the late Eleanor D. Hampton Johnson and Samuel “Camp” Johnson of Vanceburg.
Survivors include three brothers, David (Weeda) Willis, Sam (Susan) Johnson, and Ben (Diane) Johnson, all of Vanceburg; one sister, Amy (Jeff) McEldowney of Maysville; her stepfather, Samuel “Camp” Johnson of Vanceburg; her caregivers, Andrea Evans, Beth Clark, and Tina Clark all of Vanceburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Leah J. Hampton.
At the request of the family there will be a private visitation and service with Dr. Howard Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
