James Allen Bloomfield, 59, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born January 31, 1965, at Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late James and Rosana Smith Bloomfield.
James was a member of Hope First Church of God. He enjoyed working in the food pantry, fishing, hunting, sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Tyra Bloomfield; one daughter, Joanna Bloomfield of Vanceburg; one sister, Vicky (Aaron) Evans of Vanceburg; one brother, Phillip (Beverly) Bloomfield of Tollesboro; and two granddaughters, Addalynn Smallwood of Hamilton, Ohio and LaStoria (Story) Corns of Mt. Sterling. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at Hope First Church of God, 10246 Hope Means Road at Means, with Bro. Glennis Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, and after 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at Hope First Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Zack Bloomfield, Dylan Hardeman, Wayne Munday, Eric Metz, Charlie Tyra, and Donavon Mullins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Shuler, Kenny Toy, and DeWayne Shuler.
