A celebration of life service for Douglas Monroe Orner, 45, of Hebron, Ohio, will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Southgate Church of Christ with Pastor Rob Hartman officiating.
Family will receive friends after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the church, located at 1075 S. 30th St. in Heath, Ohio.
Doug passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Franklin Medical Center. He was born March 4, 1979, in Newark, Ohio.
Doug was a 1998 graduate of Licking Valley High School where he played tuba in the marching band. He was of the Christian faith, a true friend, and loved Star Wars.
Survivors include his parents, Gary and Kathy Wright Orner; his biological mother, Kathy Keaser; siblings, Scott Monroe, Alicia Hampton, and Heath Harold; a sister-in-law, Erin (Jake) Snyder; a niece, Baylee Klingel; a nephew, Ben Riley Orner; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a lifelong friend, Scott Covington.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph C. Orner; maternal grandparents, Mack and Lois Wright; paternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Orner; grandmother, Barb Keaser; an uncle, Kirby Wright; and a cousin, Jon Orner.
