Watson Dowd Hord, 61, of Lewis County died Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Vanceburg Hills Nursing Home.
He was born March 4, 1963, at Maysville, a son of the late John Winford and Martha Ellen Francis Hord.
Dowd loved fishing, old cars, and hanging out with friends. He was happy-go-lucky, and loved by everyone.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Hord of Lexington; one brother, Johnny Ray (Ruby) Hord of Foxport; one sister, Mary Johnna (Tim) Cogan of Tollesboro; two nieces, Stephanie Hord of Morehead and Dawn (Sam) Jones of Tollesboro; one nephew, Chris Cogan of Tollesboro; one great-nephew, Christopher Dale Cogan; and two grandchildren. Many other aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive who will mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Winford Dale and Donna Hord.
Services will be at Noon, Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 Ky 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Sam Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Tollesboro Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
