David Gene Patton, 86, of Garrison, passed away early Thursday morning, September 26, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
David was born at Pikeville on November 6, 1937, a son of the late Lucian and Minnie Davis Patton. He retired from the Wonder Bread Bakery in Columbus, Ohio, after several years of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved playing golf. David was of the Christian faith. Most of all he loved life.
Left to cherish David’s memories is his wife of 56 years, Rose Sanders Patton, whom he married on December 12, 1967. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive who will mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Reva Blevins, Anna Hughes, Betty Thomas, and Oma Parsons, and a brother, Donald Patton.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Oval Osborne officiating.
