Barbara Dawn Vergne, 75, of Garrison, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born October 31, 1949, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late James W. and Nellie Heath Vergne.
Barb was a member of Quincy Church of Christ. She enjoyed traveling, going to concerts, listening to music, going to parades, going out to eat, and spending time with family.
Survivors include her longtime companion, James D. Mann; two sisters-in-law, Sandy Vergne of Garrison and Brenda Vergne of New Vienna, Ohio; three special nieces, Renee (Billy) Dickey of Garrison, Debbie (Chris) Harris of Grayson, and Karen (Nick) Oyer of Washington Court House, Ohio. Several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Godfrey, and two brothers, Jim Vergne and John Vergne.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with her cousin Jim Liles officiating. Burial will follow in Black Oak Cemetery.
