Dennis Randall Patton, 62, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Edgewood Manor of Lucasville, Ohio.
Randy, as he was known by family and friends, was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on June 11, 1962, a son of the late Paul and Goldie Hobbs Patton. In his earlier years, Randy worked for TRW in Maysville and US Shoe in Vanceburg. He owned and operated an auto repair shop and liked to hunt and fish but his passion was drag racing and golfing. He also loved riding his bike.
Randy was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his only son, Travis (Lacey) Patton of Vanceburg; three sisters, Barb Gilbert and Debbie Cooper of Vanceburg, and Judy Eldridge of Lexington; four brothers, Tony (Heather) Patton of Garrison, and Dobo Patton, Danny Patton, and Allen Patton of Vanceburg; and two grandsons, Reid Patton and Remy Patton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann Crawford.
A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Paul Crawford officiating.
Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025, at Gaydos Funeral Home.
Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, in Evans Cemetery on Town Branch.
