Eddie Dean Riggs, 66, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born October 5, 1958, in Friendship County, Ohio, a son of the late Raymond Riggs Sr. and Marjorie Gray Riggs.
Eddie enjoyed hunting, working on vehicles, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his companion of 25 years, Judy Swim; one sister, Josephine (Ervin) Francis of Aberdeen, Ohio; two nieces, Denise Hughes and Paula Gaffin; very special friends, Frank and Jackie Adams; special neighbors he considered his children, Johnny and Tonia Bivens, Randy and Angie Stone, Brian and Kristy Stone, and Kenny and Julie Stone. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Riggs Kennedy; and two brothers, Rick Riggs and Raymond Riggs.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. John Byard officiating. Burial will follow in Worley Cemetery in Friendship, Ohio.
Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Stone, Hunter Bivens, Braedyn McGlone, Randy Stone, Johnny Bivens, Kenny Stone, and Mark Blevins.
