Bob Lykins

Robert Allen “Bob” Lykins, 69, of Tollesboro, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at his home.

He was born December 31, 1955, in Maysville, a son of the late Charles and Geraldine Hardymon Lykins.

Bob enjoyed farming, tractors, tractor pulls, loafing with friends. and good home-cooked meals.

Bob worked as a semi driver for Bulk Transit, retiring in February 2019.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Carla McCann Lykins, whom he married August 8, 1975; a son Josh Lykins (Sabrina); one sister, Donna Earlywine; two brothers, Tim Lykins (Brenda) and David Lykins (Tammy); a granddaughter, McKenley Lykins (Mario); his mother-in-law, Daisy McCann; and his step-grandchildren, Kayla Wells, Austin Cropper, and Mandolina Jarrells.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dell and Olita Hardymon; his father-in-law, Carl McCann; and his aunt, Jo Ann Hester. Bob will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who will think of him every time they see a red tractor, watch a tractor pull, eat a good home-cooked meal, or hear an old country song.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. John Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County.

Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tom Wilson, Aubrey Ruggles, Randy Fite, Mario Mercado, Lathe Brady, and Matt Wenz.

David Lykins and Tim Lykins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
