Alyce Justice, 79, of Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at her home following an extended illness. She was surrounded by her family.
Alyce was born at Stricklett on June 12, 1945, a daughter of the late Bowman and Bertha Gilliam McCoy.
Alyce worked for Textron Incorporated for 39 years. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Flemingsburg and loved playing the piano, sewing, and scrapbooking. She was a great photographer, making photo albums of her family. She liked going to the Activity Center and senior citizens meetings in Flemingsburg. Alyce also kept a journal of her daily activities. Most of all she loved her family.
Left to cherish Alyce’s memories are a brother, John McCoy of Bonneau, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Many friends also survive who will mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Lorene McCoy, and two brothers, Floyd Bowman Jr. and Gilbert McCoy.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Bowman McCoy Cemetery with Pastor Shawn Meade officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until Noon Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
