Paul Robinette

Paul Robinette, 74, of South Shore, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at his home.

He was born in Ashland on November 30, 1950, a son of the late Charles and Rebecca Sizemore Robinette.

Paul graduated from McKell High School in 1968 and retired from North American Refractories in South Shore. He had been a member of the South Shore Volunteer Fire Department since 1968, having served in every position, including Chief, Trustee, and Treasurer. He was also a member of the Greenup County Firefighter Association and a lifetime member of the Ohio Valley Firefighter Association. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Doris June Bivens Robinette; one brother, Larry “Tub” Ray Robinette of Thomson, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Alma “Pal” Hamilton and Ramona Bivens; five nieces, Sherri Love, Kylee Robinette, Joanna Foughty, Kendra (Chantz) Walters, and Laken Salsgiver; and four nephews, Larry (Amy) “Punker” Robinette Jr., Johnny (Tonia) Bivens, David Adams, and Lee (Angie) Salsgiver. Several other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Nancy Kay Robinette.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Brett Unger officiating. 

Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery at South Shore with firefighter graveside rights accorded. 

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Sunday at Roberson Funeral Home.
