Alec Taylor Wells, 30, of Waynesfield, Ohio, died at 9:53 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Auglaize County, Ohio.
He was born July 2, 1994, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Carl “Eddie” Wells Jr. of South Shore and Terry (Harvey) Mathias of Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
He was a graduate of Greenup County High School and worked at the Honda Transmission Plant in Russells Point, Ohio. Alec loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fitness, riding his motorcycle, and playing video games.
On July 19, 2016, he married the love of his life, Tasia Wells. Together they have two children, Logan J. Wells, age seven, and Naomi M. Wells, age five.
Alec is also survived by his siblings, Jarrod (Ashley) Wells of Quincy and Lakin (Jordan) Mathews of Chillicothe, Ohio; his grandparents, Carl and Patricia Wells of Quincy; an aunt, Karen Carlile; and uncle, Darin Wells; his mother-in-law, April Sinift of Logan, Ohio; his father-in-law, Delmar (Lara) Sinift of Logan, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Sharlyn (Aidan) Oldham of Lancaster, Ohio; and his brother-in-law, Phoenix Sinift of Logan. Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
Services will be at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Waynesfield Chapel of Eley Funeral Home and Crematory, 200 E Wapakoneta Street in Waynesfield, Ohio, with Pastor Blake Bevins officiating. Friends may visit after 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
Alec selflessly gave the gift of life as an organ donor, helping five individuals through his final act of generosity.
