Edna Mae Hesler Adamson, 69, of Maysville, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, July 14, 2025.
She was born in Brooksville on February 13, 1956, a daughter of the late John William Hesler Jr. and Temple Alene Estep Hesler.
Edna was a devoted member of the Maysville Community Lighthouse Church for more than 30 years, where she found strength in her faith and formed many cherished friendships. Known for her kind heart and generous spirit, Edna was a true nurturer who helped raise many children who lovingly called her “Mamaw.”
She worked as a Foster Granny for the Mason County School System for 12 years, and earlier spent many years as a carhop at Bisotti’s, where she was well known and loved throughout the community.
In her free time, Edna enjoyed making wreaths and crafts, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and loved ones. She especially found peace visiting the grave of her beloved daughter, Jessica Lynn Hesler Tumlin, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Patrick Tumlin of Vanceburg; two brothers, John (Donna) Hesler of Maysville and Jesse (Penny) Hesler of Mount Olivet; two sisters, JoAnn (John Ray) Dodson of Sardis and Brenda (Eddie) Simms of Orangeburg; her very special friend, Beth McCord; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who deeply loved her.
In addition to her daughter and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Dale Hesler, Larry Hesler, and Danny Hesler.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home with burial to follow in Canaan Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Raejean Perraut, Angela Dodson, Glenda Mitchell, Amber Hale, Brenna Emmons, Chloe Cracraft, Emma Mitchell, Lena Dodson, Elizabeth Dodson, and Letha Dodson. Honorary pallbearers will be the rest of her nieces.
