Wilma Collier

Wilma Skidmore Collier, 86, of Garrison, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at her home. Her loving family was at her side.

She was born in Lewis County on October 6, 1938, a daughter of the late Buster Kenneth and June Richardson Skidmore.

Wilma loved attending Bivens Chapel Church where she served the Lord for over 68 years. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her children, and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include four daughters, Janet (Phillip) Rodgers, Gwendolyn Sue (Rocky) Dummitt, Debbie Scott, and Lisa (Ricky) Dummitt of Garrison; a son, Jeff (Cheryl) Collier of Garrison; two sisters, Cora (Ray) May and Betty (JR) Bloomfield of Garrison; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Delbert Collier; a sister, Freda Hauck; nine brothers, Homer Skidmore, Kenneth Skidmore, Nelson Skidmore, Larry Skidmore, James Skidmore, Ronald Skidmore, David Skidmore, Michael Skidmore, and Bud Skidmore; and a grandson, Abraham Dummitt.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Bivens Chapel Church at Garrison with Sister Jeannie Harris and Bro. Ronnie Conley officiating. Burial will be in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Bivens Chapel Church.

Pallbearers will be Tayler Dummitt, Dillion Dummitt, Thomas Rodgers, Tyler Dummitt, Sara Purcell, and Samantha Davis.
