Ina Marie Stout

Ina Marie Doyle Stout, 84, of Burtonville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 30, 2025. She was at her home surrounded by loved ones.  

Born in Fleming County on May 2, 1941, Ina was a daughter of the late Hubert Doyle and Ruth Browning Doyle. 

She was a homemaker and member of Galilee Christian Church. She loved to sew, raise animals, garden, cook, and listen to music. She treasured her family and the memories made together, something that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Survivors include two of her children, Mary (Timothy) Shoemaker and Kenneth (Charity) Stout of Burtonville; five grandchildren, Timothy “Shug” (Jenifer) Shoemaker, Matthew Stout, Mark (Jodi) Shoemaker, Kennetha Stout (Joshua Hoskins), Sarah Ginn (Steven Shirey); a step-grandson, Jacob (Elizabeth) Sartin; and eight great-grandchildren, Lakelynn, Brantley, Corinthian, and Jackson Shoemaker, Sonia Cooper, Hunter and Ethan Stout, and Waylon Ginn.

She is also survived by six of her siblings, William (Daisy) Doyle of Foxport, Ella Mae (Sam) Pollitt of Oak Ridge, Linda Cropper of Buck Lick, Eula Washburn of Ewing, Joseph Paul Doyle of Orangeburg, and Douglas Doyle of Tennessee; her sister-in-law, Linda (Charles) Doyle; her daughter-in-law, Donna (Bradley) Stout; special nieces, Crystal and Ruth Humphries, Charlene Smith, and Zoe Doyle. Many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Carl Shelby Stout, who passed in 2007; a son, Bradley Kent Stout in 2017; two sisters, Brenda (Charles) Humphries and Mary Jo Doyle; and six brothers, Charles, Bobby, Ricky, David, James, and Larry Dean Doyle.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2025, at Galilee Christian Church with Bro. Ralph Mineer officiating.

Ina will be laid to rest in Stout Cemetery at Epworth.

Pallbearers include Timothy “Shug”, Mark, Brantley, and Jackson Shoemaker, Daniel Doyle, Matthew, Hunter, and Ethan Stout.  Honorary pallbearers include William, Joseph, and Nathaniel Doyle, and Ella Mae and Sam Pollitt.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Galilee Christian Church, 2120 Burtonville Road at Tollesboro.
