Carol A. Kegley Hull, 79, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Carol was born in Vanceburg, September 21, 1946, to the late Karl and Christine Lykins Kegley. Carol and her husband, Phil, owned and operated the Bertram-Hull Insurance Company for 25 years. Carol also owned the Driftwood Garden Center in Vanceburg. She loved to be in her garden and travel to Florida where she enjoyed going to the beach with her friends. She was also a member of the Vanceburg Christian Church.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 47 years, Phil Hull, whom she married May 4, 1978; stepdaughter, Ona Collette Hull of Vanceburg; two granddaughters who lovingly adored and forever appreciated her, Brittany Sullivan of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Halee Church of West Portsmouth, Ohio; six great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Holly Stanley of Ft. Mitchell, Ky.; grandchildren, Chelsea, Avery III, and Adeline Stanley; two sisters, Jane Lewis of Lexington and Karla (Gene) Dickerson of Sumter, South Carolina; special friend Kenneth “Poppy” Ginn and several cousins, nieces and nephews survive who also will mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Hull and Avery Lee Stanley II; sister, Patty Harrison; and stepmother, Maxine Kegley.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg.
