Monte A. Cooper, 66, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Vanceburg Hills nursing facility after an extended illness.
Monte was born at Maysville on July 28, 1959, a son of the late Corbett and Wanda Butler Cooper.
Monte worked at Tri-State Distributing with his father and from there went to Lexington where he worked 14 years with Galaxy Distributing. Monte was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and member of the Southern Manor Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother, Dale (Gaye) Cooper of Lexington. Several cousins and other family members also survive who will mourn his passing.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Arthur Moore and Thomas Lester officiating.
Entombment will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak
Visitation will be an hour prior to services Friday, November 21, 2025, at the funeral home.
