Floyd Dean McCann, 86, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born at Trinity on April 2, 1939, a son of the late Harold and Beatrice McCall McCann.
Dean was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and member of Salem Community Church where he loved to attend.
He was a farmer, carpenter, and tobacco warehouse floorperson. He served 52 years as a director of Farmers Home Mutual Insurance Company of Mason and Fleming counties. He enjoyed dining out and visiting with neighbors, friends, and family.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Tammy (David) Ramey and Beth (Brent) Conley; two stepsons, Patrick Colegrove and Matthew Colegrove; three brothers, Tom (Kitty) McCann, William (Pat) McCann, and Jim (Sue) McCann; and a sister-in-law, Daisy McCann. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Evelyn Coalgrove McCann; two sisters, Kathleen (Jerry) McCox and Darlene Benning; and two brothers, Carl McCann and Don (Ellen) McCann.
Services will be at Noon Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Danny Butler officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Colegrove, Patrick Colegrove, Perry Polley, Andrew Story, Matthew Story, and Jerry Underwood.
