Randy Darrin Butler, 44, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 28, 1981, in Rowan County, a son of Lucille Griffitt Butler of Vanceburg and the late Wilford Butler.
Randy has driven a truck for his brother at Rick Butler and Sons Logging for the past 18 years. He loved gardening, hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Virginia Wilburn Butler; one daughter, Sandee Rae Butler, of Vanceburg; one sister, Vickie Wilson; two brothers, Rick Butler and Jason (Jessica) Butler of Vanceburg. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Venus Butler.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Bro. Ben Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Butler Family Cemetery on Laurel.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be Rick Butler, Jason Butler, Allen Butler, Derrick Butler, Travis Butler, and David Whisman.
