Carolyn Plank

Carolyn Jean Dyer Plank went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the age of 70. 

Born on June 16, 1955, a daughter of the late Roscoe Junior and Gladys Nolan Dyer, Carolyn lived a life devoted to her family. She was known for her love of traveling, flea marketing, yard selling, canning, sewing, and spoiling her grandchildren. She touched and encouraged the lives of everyone who knew her while she shared the love of God.

Carolyn was a Pentecostal and trusted deeply in a personal relationship with Christ. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took pride in her family. She loved attending church services, house meetings, and worshiping the Lord.

Survivors include a daughter, Tracie (Eric) Bentley of Garrison; four grandchildren, Tori, Alyssa, Madison, and Tristan; and three great-grandchildren, Kanton, Blakelee, and Judston. She will be missed by many friends, family members, her special dog, Milo, and her cousins, Pat Dyer, Rodney Sartin, Judy Killen, and Cora Bayless.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian Plank; a grandson, Drew Riffe; a great-granddaughter, Olive Brackins; and three brothers, Mike Dyer, Roger Dyer, and Elmer Dyer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Jacob Sartin officiating. Burial will follow in Hannibal Cemetery on Rock Run.

Friends may visit after 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
