Linda Sue Nolen Carrington, 74, of Garrison, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born in Lewis County on January 12, 1951, a daughter of the late Plummer Everett and Hazel Verna Logan Nolen.
Linda was of the Pentecostal Country Faith. She enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, listening to gospel music, drinking her coffee, and spending time with family.
Survivors include two sons, David (Kelly) Carrington, of Carthage, Indiana, and Daniel (Amanda) Carrington of Garrison; one brother, Kenneth (Annette) Nolen of Titiusvile, Florida; four grandchildren, Andy Carrington, Justin Carrington, Blake Stamper, and Mindy Stamper; and four great-grandchildren, Gage Carrington, Kye Carrington, Taten Carrington, and Bryson Carrington. Many other family members and friends also survive who will miss her greatly.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Edgar Haywood “Woody” Carrington Jr., and a sister, Edith Nolen.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Globe Funeral Family Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Daniel Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Nolen Family Cemetery on Laurel.
Family and friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Andy Carrington, Justin Carrington, Blake Stamper, Taten Carrington, Bryson Carrington, and Gage Carrington.
