Roger David Griffitt, 57, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 1, 1968, in Bucyrus, Ohio, a son of the late Adrian and Alma Rankins Griffitt.
Roger loved working and taking care of his yard, watching football, and especially spending time with his granddaughters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Teresa Moore Griffitt; one daughter, Natasha (Wes) Bloomfield of Vanceburg; one son, David Griffitt of Morehead; two sisters, Brenda Quick of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Debbie Coldiron of Vanceburg; and two grandchildren, Kambrie and Ivy Bloomfield. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Coffey and Linda Agin; one brother, Adrian Griffitt Jr.; and one granddaughter, Emersyn Kate Bloomfield.
Graveside services will be at Noon Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Happy Hollow Cemetery at Tollesboro with Bro. Kent Moore officiating.
