Irsel Hall

Irsel Rister Hall, 65, of Garrison, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, at her residence. Her family was at her side.

She was born February 20, 1960, at Port Clinton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Richard and Bonnie Anderson Rister.

Irsel was proud of her career in administration services. Following her retirement due to long-term illness, she devoted her life to her family and her church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working with the children of her Sunday School classes at Bivens Chapel Church. She also loved hosting family gatherings and bird watching.

Survivors include her loving husband, Clyde Gregory Hall; one daughter, Kalah Dawn (Andrew) Hoag of Lancaster, Ohio; one son, Joshua Gregory of Portsmouth, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Myla, Aisley, Addilyn, Nova, and Everett. She is also survived by many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Jane Cassidy and Debora Ann Shepherd, and a brother, Richard Allen Rister.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Bivens Chapel Church, with Sister Jeanne Harris and Bro. Ronnie Conley officiating. Burial will be in Crystal Dawn Cemetery at Garrison.

Visitation will be after 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Creighton Arnold, Olivia Arnold, Levi Ervin, Zane Smyke, Jase Smyke, and Ethan Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Kierra Bivens, Kelci Bivens, Keira Jamison, Isabella Pruitt, Mya Lawhun, Ashante Lawhun, Le Asia Lawhun, Keenan Kamer, Tucker Tackett, and Alie Fannin.

Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison is assisting the family with arrangements.
