Norma “Jeannie” Cooper, 63, of Vanceburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 12, 2026, at her home.
She was born at Vanceburg on November 26, 1962, a daughter of the late Ercel and Glendawyn Cooley Wilson.
Jeannie worked as a cashier at Ron’s Pic-Pac in Vanceburg and at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and raising a garden. She was very fond of her dogs.
Survivors include her significant other, Jim Eldridge; two daughters, Dana (Kelly) Stanfield and Varina Cooper; a son, Dustin Cooper; a brother, Michael Wilson; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Zach) Duncan, Katelin Cooper, Marty (Abby) Yazell, Allison Yazell, and Samuel Cooper; five great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Gene Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Cooper, and a great-grandson.
A memorial visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg.
