Kendall Kilgore

Kendall Kilgore, 55, of Firebrick, went to be with his Lord on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

He was born on October 21, 1970, at Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Shirley Wells Kilgore and the late Kenneth Kilgore.

Kendall attended Firebrick Christian Baptist Church. He was saved on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Kendall was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He lived a life defined by integrity, hard work, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

He was a proud and dedicated member of United Steelworkers Local 1865, where he worked tirelessly and earned the respect of everyone who knew him. Outside of work, Kendall found his greatest joy in the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he cherished every moment spent in nature and shared that passion with his family.

Kendall was also a beloved baseball coach to his sons, leading their teams to two championships. His patience, encouragement, and steady guidance shaped not only their skills but their character. To many, he was more than a coach—he was a mentor and a role model.

Above all else, Kendall dedicated his life to raising his children and later his grandchildren, whom he loved more than life itself. He also shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Bernie, who was always by his side. Kendall held many titles throughout his life, but to his family, the one that mattered most was Hero. His kindness, selflessness, and willingness to help others in every aspect of life left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Kendall was deeply loved, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 17 years, Marie Tully Kilgore; five children, Kayla Kilgore of South Point, Ohio, Blake Kilgore (Amber) of Garrison, Cole Cooper (Shayla) of Maysville, Kirkland Cochran (Emily) of Tollesboro, and Hailee Cochran (Bryson) of Ashland; one sister, Kelly McCann (Joey) of Vanceburg; 12 grandchildren, Kaylyn, Katie, Kenton, Kamden, Kynadee, Kensley, Hudson, Kymber, Magnolia, Sophia, Kash, and Austin; and three nephews, Justin McCann (Paige), Jordan McCann (Emily), and Jeremy McCann (Kendra). Several other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kendra Kilgore.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Raymond Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens at South Portsmouth.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Roberson Funeral Home.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.robersonfuneral.com.
