Agness Clark

Agness L. Clark, 89, of Garrison, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 20, 2026. Her family was at her side.

Agness was born at Ribolt on May 15, 1936, a daughter of the late Fletcher and Ladys Lawhorn Grigson. She was a homemaker, loving mother, and devoted wife.

Agness was a member of Garrison Methodist Church. She was a hobby farmer and enjoyed being outdoors, tending her garden, and then canning her vegetables.

Left to cherish Agness’ memories are two daughters, Rebecca Clark of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Laveda (Roger) Pack of Quincy; a son, John David Clark of Garrison; two brothers, Harold (Ruby) Grigson of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Phillip Dale (Gloria) Grigson of Covington; four grandchildren, James Whitt, Savanah Whitt, Roger Pack, and Jennifer Pack; and two great-grandsons, Colton Hood and Benjamin Saunders.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clark, in 2008; five sisters, Betty Corns Cooley, Christine Vance, Judy Sparks, and two in infancy; and three brothers, Ancil Grigson, Alford Grigson, and Norman Grigson.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Rev. Tom Charles officiating. Burial will follow in Soldier Cemetery at Garrison.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Whitt, Marvin Grigson, Colton Hood, and James Cooley.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
