Harold Winson Moore Jr., 73, of Maysville, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at his home.
He was born in Lewis County on August 15, 1952, a son of the late Harold Winson Moore Sr. and Euna Eileen Spence Moore.
Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed watching westerns, bird watching, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Shields Moore; three daughters, Clara “Sissy” Fite of Tollesboro, Betty Perez of Maysville, and Ruth “Mousie” Dugan of Lewisburg; three sons, Timothy Evans and Lonnie Shields of Maysville, and John Evans of Mayslick; two sisters, Rhonda Prater and Tammy Cline of Wallingford; three brothers, Tony Moore of Vanceburg, and Steve Moore and Terry Moore of Wallingford; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Milda Hamilton Moore; a daughter, Pearl Tiny Dunigan; and a sister, Regina Harris.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Kent Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery at Ribolt.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by Monte Lewis Stamm VFW Post 5438.
