George Calvin Butler Jr., 56, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at UK-St Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
He was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, on August 29, 1969, a son of George Calvin Butler Sr. of Emerson and Lana Sue Bryant of Olive Hill.
George enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed painting, collecting, riding his ATV, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, survivors include two daughters, Keri Butler (Douglas Caseman) of Emerson and Kristi Butler of Vanceburg; a sister, Ingrid Foxx of Marathon, Florida; a brother, Gerald Butler of Emerson; and the mother of his children, Cheryl Butler. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss him.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Smith Gilliam Cemetery on Laurel. Bro. Danny Cooley will officiate.
