Bonnie Mae Witten

Bonnie Mae Riffe Witten, 87, of Garrison, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at Rosemount Pavilion in Portsmouth, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 22, 1939, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Charles Herbert and Ethel May Caldwell Riffe.

Bonnie attended Garrison First Baptist Church and retired from Walt Disney World after 22 years. She loved to read, watch television, travel, cook, and spend time with her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Witten (Chuck) Buchanan of Toney, Alabama; three sisters, Jenny Witten of Vanceburg, Freda Walters of Maysville, and April Riffe of Flemingsburg; two brothers, Jim (Lana Kay) Riffe and Elden (Jan) Riffe of Garrison; four grandchildren, Tyler (Samantha) Wichus of Garrison, Andrew Prater of Vanceburg, and Alexis Buchanan and Shane Buchanan of Alabama; and one great-grandchild, Gunner Prater of Garrison. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Nick Prater; her second husband, Harry Witten; two sons, Charlie Prater and Nick Prater; one sister, Martha Wilma (Lynn) Witten; and one grandchild, Summer Prater.

Services will be at Noon Monday, August 10, 2026, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Tim Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.

Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2026, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
