Adam “Meat” Joseph Stapleton, 40, of Grayson, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at his home after a brief illness.
He was born May 26, 1984, a son of Bonnie Angel Stapleton of Olive Hill and the late Allen Arthur Stapleton.

Adam served as dispatch supervisor for Carter County 911, Director for Carter County Emergency Management and Captain of Grayson Fire Department. He was a member of Olive Hill Fire Department, an IFSAC evaluator, instructor for the Kentucky Fire and Rescue Training and the Kentucky Emergency Management Association. Adam served as Chairman for the local Emergency Planning Committee and was a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Sarah Veech Stapleton; a son, Sebastian Stapleton; a stepson, Nathan (Faith) Steel of Greenwood, Indiana; one sister, Amanda Lynn Stapleton-Tuhy of Olive Hill; and one brother, Jason Allen Stapleton of Olive Hill. A host of other family members and friends also survive who will miss him dearly.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at First Church of Christ in Grayson with Chaplain Harold Horton and Bro. Bradley Cotton officiating. Burial will follow in Jr. OUAM Cemetery at Olive Hill.
Friends may visit after 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at First Church of Christ in Grayson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Adam Stapleton Memorial Fund at First National Bank in Grayson.
