Addison Ray Carpenter

Addison Ray Carpenter, one-year-old, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

She was born at Lexington on September 3, 2021, a daughter of Ryan Carpenter and Meleah Blankenship.

Addison enjoyed playing with her sisters, brothers, and little cousin, and loved spending time with with Mommy, Daddy, Mamaws, Papaws, Uncles, and Aunts. Her most favorite thing to do was to watch westerns with her daddy.

In addition to her parents, survivors include two brothers, Jaxon Gilbert and James Carpenter; three sisters, Hadlee Carpenter, Aubrey Carpenter, and Kylie Gilbert; her grandparents, David E. Blankenship, Jamie and Hope Carpenter, and Melinda Carpenter; great-grandparents, Bev Blankenship, Linda Hobbs, Marsha Hartley, David Carroll, and Monty Ginn; great-great-grandmothers, Susan Johnson and Polly Blankenship; and her aunts, Seleah Blankenship and Neveah Blankenship. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Carpenter Cemetery at Vanceburg with Bro. Lee Johnson officiating. Burial will follow.

Her uncles, Jamie Lee Carpenter, David Blankenship, Lathen Blankenship, and Kaden Blankenship, will serve as pallbearers.

Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, is caring for all arrangements.
