Maxine Kamer

Alberta Maxine Bevins Kamer, 95, of Garrison, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at her home.

She was born in Lewis County on August 31, 1926, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Burriss Bevins.

Maxine was a member of Black Oak Christian Church for many years. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Allene (David) Kilbreth of Garrison; one granddaughter, Lisa Foxworthy; and one great-grandson, Becket Foxworthy. A host of other family members and friends also survive who will sadly mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Kamer, and a brother, William Bevins.

Services will be at Noon Friday, May 20, 2022, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. James Girdwood officiating. Burial will follow in Black Oak Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour Friday, May 20, 2022, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
