Alice Faye Zornes Sparks, 61, of Emerson, passed away Saturday morning, October 29, 2016, at her home.

She was born August 17, 1955, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Willard and Martha Bond Zornes.

Alice was a member of Old Trace Community Church and was retired from Olive Hill Sewing Factory after 40 years of service. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, visiting her neighbors and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Sparks; and two sisters, Joyce Dummitt and Shirley Zornes.

Alice is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mark Sparks; one son and his companion, Bradley Wayne Sparks and Sandra Brown of Morehead; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and William Stevens of Olive Hill; five grandchildren; four brothers, Roger Zornes, Gary Zornes, and Daniel Zornes, all of Emerson, and Stanley Zornes of Portsmouth, Ohio; and one sister, Emelean Zornes of Emerson. She also leaves many others family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016, at Old Trace Community Church on Old Trace Creek Road with Bro. Bobby Burge and Bro. Jim Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Old Trace Community Cemetery.

Friends may visit after 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016, and after 9:00 a.m.  Monday at Old Trace Community Church.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix is caring for all arrangements.
