Alma Jane Bloomfield Wolfe, 87, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 8, 1936, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Hazel Ike and Mary Ora Bloomfield.
Alma enjoyed hunting ginseng, watching westerns, reading, listening to the Gaithers, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include four daughters, Connie (Ronnie) Piotrowski of Elmore, Ohio, Sherry Wesley of Pensacola, Florida, Pam (Duane) Butler of Vanceburg, and Mary Ann (Randy) Mullins of Wheelersburg, Ohio; four sons, Michael (Pamela) Wolfe of McDermott, Ohio, Steven Wolfe of Peebles, Ohio, James (Tammy) Wolfe of West Portsmouth, Ohio, and David (Michele) Wolfe of Vanceburg; three sisters, Vickie Bell of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Donna Doss of Warren, Ohio, and Irene Johnson of Rocky Ridge, Ohio; three brothers, Gary Cooper of Indiana, Don Cooper of Lucasville, Ohio, and Leonard Bloomfield of Genoa, Ohio; and many grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, William Franklin Wolfe; one son, William “Bill” Wolfe; five sisters, Betty McNamara, Ann Barker, Faye Goetz, Kaye Wurzelbacher, and Donna Spooneybarger; two brothers, Emil Bloomfield and Earl Bloomfield; and three grandchildren, Amanda Wolfe, William Wolfe III, and Ashley Cooper.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Pastor Brad Brandt officiating. Burial will follow in Wolfe Family Cemetery on Twin Branch.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be David S. Wolfe, Tim Wesley, Alex Mullins, Isaac Mullins, Cody Wolfe, Calib Anderson, and Noah Wolfe.
